Google makes Gemini 4 Argon broadly available
Google released Gemini 4 Argon, its latest frontier model, to paying API developers and to AI Pro and Ultra subscribers, at an introductory API price of $2/$10 per million tokens through November 30, 2026.
What happened
- On October 13, 2026, Google made Gemini 4 Argon globally available: in the Gemini API paid tier (AI Studio), in Google Antigravity for Google AI Ultra subscribers, and in the Gemini app and AI Mode in Search for Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers.
- Introductory API pricing is $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens through November 30, 2026. After that, Google lists $4 and $20.
- Google says the model has a 1M unified input-output token limit in the Gemini API and ranks #1 on the Vals Index. Benchmark claims are Google's own.
Why it matters: If you use coding agents or build on model APIs, this is a new frontier option to test, and the cheapest time to test it is before the intro price ends on November 30. Budget for the price doubling from December 1.
