Methodology & disclosures
Every tool gets a 1–10 score on six criteria. The GetToolRank Score is the weighted total, out of 100. We define the criteria ourselves. There are no community votes yet.

How we research
- Current scores are desk research. They come from dated independent reviews, public benchmarks and vendor pages (rankings reviewed 2026-10-16). We haven't tested these tools hands-on yet. Tested scores will replace desk scores over time and carry a "Tested" label.
- Every tool page lists its sources. Facts we couldn't confirm are labeled "partially verified."
- Ties: scores within 1 point of each other count as a tie. Don't read much into #1 vs #2 when they're tied.
- Freshness: we re-review each category at least every 60 days, and right away when a major model or product ships or shuts down.
- Prices change often. Always confirm on the vendor's site.

Conflict of interest: Grok and Cursor
GetToolRank's launch research and rankings were prepared with the help of Grok Bot, an AI assistant. Grok (ranked in Chat Assistants) and Cursor (ranked in AI Coding) are both owned by SpaceXAI, the company behind Grok. To manage this conflict, a human editor reviews the Grok and Cursor rankings, both get the same rubric as every other tool, and we disclose the relationship here and on their tool pages.
Affiliate disclosure
GetToolRank makes money from affiliate links, clearly labeled featured listings, and newsletter sponsorships. Some "Visit site" links go through /go/ redirects. When a link is an affiliate link, we may earn a commission if you buy, at no extra cost to you. Affiliate links carry rel="sponsored".
- Affiliate status never affects a score or rank. We score from the rubric alone and store affiliate data separately.
- Featured or sponsored placements are always labeled "Sponsored" and never appear inside a ranked list.
- Today every
/go/link points to the tool's plain official URL. As affiliate partnerships get approved, those links may switch to affiliate URLs.
